Nisar to contest for four seats as independent candidate

RAWALPINDI: In the wake of widening rift with his party leadership, Ex-Interior Minister and PML-N disgruntled leader Chaudhry Nisar on Sunday submitted four nomination papers for two each for National and Provincial Assemblies as an independent candidate.

According to media reports, ex-minister submitted nomination papers to contest general election 2018.

He submitted nomination papers for four different constituencies. Sheikh Aslam submitted papers on his behalf for NA-59 Rawalpindi, NA-63 Taxila and Punjab Assembly’s PP-10 and PP-12.

The move, as per party sources, comes as a preemptive measure on part of the previous inside clergyman to counter any circumstance emerging out of the PML-N authority’s choice on granting him gathering’s ticket.

Prior this week, PML-N pioneer Qamar-ul-Islam likewise submitted the nomination papers for NA-59. Pakistan Peoples Party’s Kamran Aslam and Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf’s Ghulam Sarwar will also contest the general election for NA-59.
